My new pan on my 400 hangs about 2 inches below the K member on my 73 sattelite!! I new this might be a problem on the street so I was wondering what other people do? Do you build a skid plate? I have scraped the k member before going about 30 over those new wide speed bumps but If I do it now I loose a 150 dollar pan and 7qts. I will problably also need a safety switch. Any tips/comments? Thanks

A buddy and I had to walk home almost 20 miles a few years ago after we tore the bottom off of a Moroso pan while street racing his 440+6 RoadRunner. That was one long night! If you're going to hang the pan down there that far you had better crank up the T bars, or build a skid plate, or else watch what you run over!
