I would love to hear about it( ET's @ what weight, tricks, etc.) and see some pics! I have a C-body only website and want to compile the largest base of info possible. I want all C-body owners to be able to go fast!!! Thanks for letting me ramble!

I did, once upon a time. I bracket raced a 73 Town & Country wagon at the old St Petersburg, Florida, Sunshine Dragstrip. I started out at about 13 seconds in the 8th mile, but knocked the time down to 10.80 range with tweaking. There was another fellow there who raced a 72 Newport coupe, he was killer in the car and won street class at St Pete, several years with it. It had a variety of motors, best one was a 440 with nitrous, that ran low 9's in the 8th, not bad for a large barge! Best thing about these C bodies is their consistency for bracket racing. They were a little slow off the line, but once they got going, lots of fun then, and very sneaky!

Officially, C bodies start with the 1965 model year, and end with the last big barges of 78, the New Yorker Brougham, the replacement for the last big Imperial. But, starting with the 55 models, when they switched from 6 volt charging and many other upgrades, these up to the 1964 models, as usually referred to as C bodies by default. But they are all big Mopars and all cool in my book! There may be a little trouble defining the beginning and the end, but if it weighs over 4000 pounds, and has a big block, odds are it's a C body, even though some came small block equipped as well.

Does anyone remember that 1961 Red Chrysler 300 that raced at the Mopar Nationals in 1989 or 1990. All steel except the hood and ran in the 10's. Tons of fun
