Question

Hi everyone and thanks for a great site.
We have recently ordered a new 2001 PT Cruiser Limited Edition. Its delivery will be in November/December and we need to buy winter tires and rims for it.
Now, the thing is that the seller has no idea what the bolt spacing on the rims are, does anyone here know? 5"? 4,5"?

I appreciate if someone can be of help.

5 x 100mm, 6" width stock, 7" fits with +35mm offset. 245 wide in back, no prob, 215 wide in front, no prob. Lug nuts are 12 x 1.5.

If I had it to do again, I'd go another size taller up front, and wider in back. As is its 215/??/16 fronts, and 245/50/16 rears.

Hope this helps,

BobC

Okey, I finally found the information what the spacing are between the bolts on the rims, it's 4".

Well, If 4" = 100mm, then that's fine. My wheels have 5 x 100 mm spacing. If you get anything different, they won't fit, IMHO.

5 x 100 mm is the correct spacing...

Okey, here's the tech stuff I found in a magazine:
Make: Chrysler
Lugs: 5
Circle (in inches): 4 (=100 mm)
Application: All '60-'72 A-bodies, '73-'75 A-bodies with four-wheel drum brakes, and all front-drives with five lugs.

It can be found in this magazine:
Hot Rod, July 1998 issue on page 86 under "Popular bolt circles".

Thumbs down

Something smells fishy there. Just go get wheels that are 5 on 100mm circle and you won't go wrong. the wheels they are refering to are rear wheel drive. Save yourself some time next time and use the Hot Rod magazine as a bird cage liner. That's about the only real use I've found for that rag.
