Thumbs up

For any of you fans of the 70 Plymouth Roadrunner, Revell-Monogram has taken their old 70 GTX kit and converted it to a 70 Roadrunner. You may remember the old 1/24th scale GTX kit, it came in either lime green or dark blue plastic. The new 70 Roadrunner has all the good points of that kit plus with all the changes to make it a Roadrunner. Also, there is a killer decal sheet, they added copcar style wheels with the factory baby moon hubcaps, and they even added a bench seat! The Magnum 500 wheels from the GTX are left in the kit as an option, and the killer 440 Six-Barrel is left unchanged from the GTX. One last thing, the new kit is molded in white plastic instead of colored. If anyone has ever tried to paint a light color like white or yellow over the old blue or green plastic the GTX was molded in, you know what a problem solver this change is. It's a killer kit, grab one because they will go fast. Like any Mopar musclecar, of course! The car on the front of the box is in orange with the cop car wheels, it will be hard to miss when you see one.

seen the kit last week. i'll be pickin one up soon. I wonder what my friend thought when he saw it. He made a 70 RR out of the gtx a few years ago to be like his dad's old car. He put alot of work into it to get the grill right.

There is a guy that is making the correct decals for the Roadrunner. I believe the kit doesnt have the bird on the decal but his does. He also makes a 68 Dart decal on some other impressive Mopar as well as musclecar decals. Some of his work can be found on e-bay under kmark999 or email him at mofobow@hotmail.com. Will add that correct decal to the car.
