which engine to rebuild? I have a 77 ply. trailduster w/stock 318 no smog. i have a 75 donor with 360 no smog. both need rebuilt but I am considering putting the 360 in it. Any pros and cons on this? Also would like to get better than stock performance ie. intake manifold/carb setup. Also want to put headers and electronic ignition in it. Any thoughts would be appreciated

The change will be a good one, but what are you gonna do about those tough emissions laws in California? I imagine you'll have a tough time passing a smog test without the smog pump, egr, etc.

i already e-mailed you rich but i am getting used to this great site. i am new to the state of ca. and dont quite understand the rules of this state. the original owner passed the smog test in its original configuration, no smog stuff. this is not an original ca. manufactured vehicle so i think iam grandfathered? and again that is kind of why i am asking the question about the swap
