I want to replace the 60 Amp alternator in my 85 Ramcharger with a 114 Amp one. Will I need to replace my voltage regulator or make any other changes for it to work right?

Mopar had some problems with the older vehicle wiring when a higher amp alternator was installed. You could check a service manual for your truck to see if the factory changed the wiring if a hi-output alt was installed. I believe your truck has a separate voltage regulator which should handle the higher output. You may need to run a heavy wire (say 10 or 8 gauge) from the alt bat term directly to the + side of your battery to get full benefit (and possibly save your wiring from a melt down). That will screw up your amp gauge so you could install a volt meter instead since a lot of the amp gauges didn't read correctly especially if the shunt for the gauge in the wire loom is screwed up.
