I am hitting myself for not soddering the Ram hood ornament on my '85 Ramcharger on. It got stollen and the police almost laughed when I asked if it was likely that they would find it. Does anyone know of someone that sells them at low prices? Thanks.

The only place I can think of is the dealer, I had to replace mine. I have an 85 3/4 ton 4X4, and the same thing happened to me.

Question

About how much did it cost you? I'm at college right now, but when I drive home over Christmas, I'll check at the local dealers, and I want to know if I am getting a fair price.

Go to www.EBAY.com Search under "Dodge Ram". They are always bidding on them. I have seen them go for as little as $10.00 and as much as $70. Many times the sellers are distributers and you can email them directly and ask them to sell you one!

Thumbs up

JC Whitney used to have them - it's worth checking out -

or as an alternative: you could check into the one that TopLine sells - it illuminates when your lights are on.

Good luck on your project.

Hey I know the feeling! I had the ram stolen off my '89 150LE last year about this time. I guess some poor SOB decided to save some money on gifts that year and just wrap up my ram for his girlfriend. I never did get it replaced.....

I bought my Ramcharger used and it has a Ram on the hood-not factory.I asked the former owner where he got it from-JC Whitney.Don't get the one like I have that has the Rams eyes that light up when you turn on the headlights!! I have a new factory one to replace it after the new paint-$58.00 from Dodge.

Ok, this is a good one. I know the Rams are expensive but there is a cheaper way. I wish I still had the part number but when when I was a Mopar Parts Manager at the local dealership, there was an accessory kit to put them on trucks that didn't have them stock. If I remember the cost was around $35. Check with your dealer or maybe the larger dealers like Koller Dodge for old accessory catalogs, like from around 89 or 90, I think. Most Parts Managers throw out the old stuff, but some may have held onto them, and the part number was still good in 95 when I ordered mine. It may still be active. Good luck!
