Be CAREFUL on your adjustment - If the cable is to short, the trans will drive you nuts downshifting at the slightist touch of the gas. If the cable is to long, there won't be enough line pressure on the O/D clutch & It WILL burn up when hauling some weight! The best way is to install a shift kit.

Yes you can....the adjustment can be made with an allen wrench (forgot the size). It's indexed by "clicks". I found that 2 clicks did it for me. Extended the upshift between 1&2, 2&3, 3&4. Downshifting still needs a heavy foot, so the constant upshift/downshift hasn't been a problem.

I AGREE, GO WITH A TRANNY KIT. I JUST INSTALLED MINE A FEW DAYS AGO. IT MAKES A GREAT DIFFERANCE IN SHIFTS. OF COURSE YOU CAN ADJUST THE KIT FOR YOUR SPECIFIC NEED YOU WANT FOR YOUR VEHICLE. I ACTUALLY WENT FOR THAT ALL OUT HOT ROD PERFORMANCE FOR MY SUPERCHARGED V-10.
