HI! IF YOU HAVE POWER LOCKS, IT WILL NOT BE THAT COSTLY AT ALL. THE EASIST WAY TO TACKLE YOUR PROBLEM IS TO INSTALL AN AFTER MARKET ALARM. THIS WILL GIVE YOU THE KEYLESS ENTRY THAT YOU WANT. IF YOU DON'T HAVE POWER LOCKS YOU CAN STILL HAVE THAT SET UP WITH THE ALARM BUT THEY USUALLY CHARGE AN ADDITIONAL 50.00 FOR THAT.

I disagee, I prefer the Mopar alarms and keyless entry. They are a snap to install, have a factory look, and are designed for your vehicle specifically. I use to sell a lot of these, and I even installed a few. They are easy to do, but if you don't feel you can tackle it, your dealer should have no problem installing them. Ask your dealer to show you the Mopar EVS systems they have in the Mopar Accessory catalog. Oh and just a side note, if anyone wants accessories added to their new Chrysler car or truck, the factory warranty covers them if they are installed by the dealer before you take delivery. Interesting, eh?

Another cool thing about dealer options is that Chrysler puts in all the wiring harnesses for the options right at that factory. So even if your truck does not have a specific option, ie. foglights or compass, the harness is there anyway.
So I am guessing that the power-locks wiring is already there too.

The harness for the factory keyless entry will not be there.
There are 2 different central timer modules used on Rams. I ordered my truck with most options except factory keyless. It came with the basic timer module which has chimes and intermitent wipers on it.
Aftermarket keyless entry, alarm systems are MUCH cheaper then the Mopar ones.
I put a Sidewinder with remote start in my wife's mini van for under $300.00.

My Caravan did not come with Keyless entry. so I bought the chrysler kit through mt dealer. It was very easy to put in and I would recomend staying with Chrysler parts.

Of course when I ordered my Ram I ordered Keyless entry with it.
