Does anyone know if there is a governor on the V-10s? If so where is it and how does it work?

Mike,
Mopar doesn't reccomend towing with the upgrade computer because of the timing changes the computer makes... I don't know what year you have but the computer sends a signal out that shuts off the ignition / injectors when it hits 115mph... I complained to the dealer about my 98 when I brought it home & the damn cruise won't set above 85 either. I'm going to disable mine as soon as the warranty is up 2k mi. The procedure entails puting an inline switch for the above signal I beleive it's called the ASD signal.. Let me know the year of yours if your interested & when I'm at the dealership I'll scope out the manual & get the pin out for the computer...

Question

V10.....
I HAVE A '98 SUPERCHARGED V-10 QC. I WOULD LIKE TO DISABLE THE GOVERNOR. I AM STILL RUNNING WITH THE STOCK COMPUTER. CAN YOU ASSIST ME IN ANYWAY?? I HAVE THE SERVICE MANUAL FROM CHRYSLER, IF THIS CAN HELP OR YOU CAN POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. BUT CUTTING OUT AT 115 MPH IS NO GOOD. THANKS.
