97 5.9 Ext. Cab 4x2 SWB 3.92 Limited slip.
Best of 15.9, but consistent 16.0's. Only addition is a K&N.

Thumbs up

PLUM...
THE BEST TIME I'VE RAN WAS 13.5 WITH AVGS. AT 13.9, THAT WAS WITH THE TONNEAU COVER ON & TAILGATE CLOSED.
I HAVE A '98 2500 V-10 QC 4X2, 4.10 GEARS WITH POSI. IT'S BEEN LOWERED 2/4, 17X8 BOYD WHEELS WITH BFG COMP TA'S, TRUE DUAL 3" EXHAUST FROM HEADERS TO CATS TO MUFFLERS TO TAILPIPES, SUPERCHARGED WITH A PAXTON NOVI-2000 AND PAXTON FUEL PUMP/REGULATOR,UPGRADED SOUND SYSTEM, OTHER BODY ENHANCEMENTS, 3 SETS PIAA LIGHTS, GAUGES, BILLET GRILL,
ETC.... SINCE THOSE LAST RUNS I'VE PUT IN A HIGH PERFORMANCE SHIFT KIT AND PLAN ON TWEEKING THE CHARGER A BIT MORE. ALSO GOING TO LOOSE THE TONNEAU COVER & TAILGATE WHEN I DO SOME RUNS IN THE SPRING/SUMMER 2000. I'M STILL USING THE STOCK COMPUTER WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL BUT I'M THINKING OF CHANGING THAT AS WELL.
NOT BAD FOR A 3 TON TRUCK. I WANT TO RUN UNDER 13'S. WE'LL HAVE TO SEE.
***I ALSO NEED TO LOOSE THE GOVERNOR*** IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS???? THIS WILL CREATE A PROBLEM FOR MY FUTURE PLANS. THIS IS ONE OF MY PRIORTIES!!!!

My 98 SS/T with the K&N FTPK kit consistantly gets 15.8's with a best of 15.75 in the Quarter mile. Though I could probably get better if I could get it to bite more. It's got the 5.9L with 3.52 rear end in it.

Cool

You hot-shots are going to love this:

Best ET: 19.87 @ 72mph

Measured at the TDR rally in Columbus IN - optional TDR Bracket races at Indy speedway.

Truck: 2500HD 4x4, diesel, 5 speed, 3.54 w/ lockright, 33" BFG Mud Terrain tires, utility body, slide-on camper. GVW was 9100 pounds.

I had to launch in 2nd gear because 1st is too low for racing. Shifted at 2300 RPM. Dialed in 19.80 and stayed fairly consistant at around 19.90 Ran once with the AC on by mistake - ET 20.22 Had a great time until I jumped the gun and got the red light!

there was a 96 SS/T at the track around here that ran a 12.4@124. supercharged, headwork, 3 inch duals, headers, cam, shift kit, DOT drag radials, 4.56 gears, mopar computer, and a few other things i doubt he shared... and there are a few dakota r/t's running deep to high 13's. never ran my truck, but i'm guessing probably in the 17 sec. range...

Exclamation

FYI Rufus
97 was the first year of the SS/T.
If it was a 96 it was an Indy/Official Truck.
Indy's are Viper Blue w/wht. stripe. SST's grn blk red & white. (bit of a sore spot for Indy owners)
Was that out in California or Florida you saw the 12.4?
