Well, I had my catalytic converter worked on today. I drove the truck about 2 or 3 miles and the check engine light came on. Could it be that the O2 sensor was damaged? Is there anyway to turn off the light (take out the bulb, fuse, etc) ? Since I am not always the one driving the truck, I don't need to have people telling me that I need to go and get my engine checked out. Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.

When my check engine light came on I had to wiggle my computer a little and turned the truck off and started it again and it went off. It is also possible that whoever worked on your cat didn't clip the 02 sensor back and fried a wire. You might also want to disconnect the battery for 10 mins, this resets the computer to default and see if it comes on then. Good luck, hope this helps.
