I have a reg. cab/sb 99'ram with a 360, and 3.9 gears. My current add-ons are a drop in k&n, a gibson dual exhaust, and 2 piece pulleys. I also bought a Jet chip that I took out. It was junk and did absolutly nothing but cost me $$$!
My questions are:
1-Would a mopar cold air intake (gen.II k&n) increase my acceleration noticeably? Or should I stick w/my drop in. If so how much quicker 0-60 could I expect?
2-My jet chip was junk! Should I risk spending another $350 on a mopar chip? Will this increase my acceleration much? How much quicker 0-60 could I expect?

Cool

I added the K & N Gen II air intake on my '95 360 Ram and saw a .10 sec improvement and 1 MPH increase in the 1/4 mile.

Other posts I've seen about drop in chips aren't favorable. I believe you'd be better off with a MP computer. Others on this site could probably confirm this.

You might consider going with some headers too.

Best of luck with your project.

Cool

I would definately suggest the Mopar cold air intake. The colder more dense outside-the-hood air will definately give you some extra ponies. You'll drop about .1-1.5 tenths with this addition. If cost is not an issue, buy a functional Ram air hood......I know a guy who picked up .3 tenths with it.

Definately buy the Mopar computer! You'll get approximately 26 hp and newfound low-end torque. But, the only drawback is you'll need to run premium gas. Also, change out the thermostat to at least a 180 degree after you install the computer....that will control the annoying spark knock all Ram guys have experienced at one point or another. You will see improvements of about .2 to .25 tenths from the computer. That might not sound like a lot,but all those tenths add up.I'd suggest headers after that!

Good Luck!
