This is my tranny Problem: When the tranny is cold it will not shift from 2nd to 3rd unless I let up on the gas. I don't think this is right but after it warms up it shifts fine. I bought this truck used it is a 360 RAM 1996 64K. I have the used Dodge Dealer warranty which is only a 1000 miles warranty. I have a feeling they are going to screw me on this fix because of the questions they were asking. Anyone have similar stories of tranny problems and anything I can tell them that will get them to fix this without a huge hassle from them? Any info would greatly be appreciated!!

My 94 4x4 did the same thing around 94K mi. It was the result of a clogged tranny cooler line that ended up frying the bands and practically everything else. It was $1500 for a new tranny. Check your tranny fluid color, make sure its not toasted. Good luck.
