Thumbs up

Any thoughts on the pre-1994 Rams? I like the new rams, but i tend to prefer the older style better, especially the 92-93's. Any sweet rams to show off?

If you like just the opposite, you could go for my 88 W150 with 7 inches of lift and 39 inch M/T tires.

And it's FOR SALE

How about this? This was my old truck. Not a good pic but, it's the best I have. Weld draglites, duals, couple grand in paint work, and new interior stuff. Got tons of compliments on it. someone in my family bought it new, my dad owned it for 8 years, and when I was 16 I got it. Now, my buddy has it. I rebuilt a 318 for it but, never put it in due to a wreck. I had it fixed and sold it to him. then he dropped in the motor from me a year later. it's an 84 ram. Alot of people liked it, others would say it was ugly, including my girlfriend but, I still miss driving it and it was DIFFERENT!

I saw the lowered truck on the page from Clay. Where did he get the dropped spindles? It says Chisholms? Do you know the email address of this place?

i think this is them. but they do not make any spindles for that truck. no one does. they do make 2" drop lower control arms.

Try http://www.slamnkustoms.com

I know he told me he had control arms for those trucks.

No spindels... Chisolm makes a drop kit for the older rams, I believe they make a 4/6 drop for them, its a coil spring/lower control combo for the front, dont know about the rear. I bought the control arm and coil spring, GREAT quality stuff!!! heavy duty boxed piece! For the rear I did some custom stuff and plan to add a 4-link and coil overs eventually... (the only way to properly do the rear of the older dodge in my opinion, with an 8.75" of course!!)

Shoot! All that work for nothing. I lowered mine 5" frt. and approx 4" rear. Ended up using Chebby parts that I modified. It sits as low as I can go with the rims/tires I have.
Thanks for the info. I am going to check them out anyhow.

Yup... Ive heard of people doing the same thing and using chevy parts, this was definatley much easier.. and you can go lower cause you get rid of the stock lower control arms which arch down really low. Shoot! Right now I cant get a jack under the K-frame with out driving up on boards!! (and you can ask that darn gate latch at Mopar Nats how it liked putting a dent in my K Frame!)

My plan here at the end of this comming summer is to take the 440 out, and build a tubular front end to get it lower. Then a possible body drop and full air ride... just takes time and $$$$$! probably more $$$$$ than anything!!

thank god I have a friend who builds race car chassis!!!

Actually, my k-frame sits only about 3-4" above the ground. I had to tuck the exhaust up really tight to make it into the stacks without dragging the ground.
On some web site, I saw a picture of lowered spindles that somebody had made. They had the CAD drawing on the site. Anybody ever see this anywhere?

You all have some really nice trucks! I thought I was the only one in the world who wanted to lower their old Dodge truck. I looked for a long time but never did find a satisfactory kit to do the job.

A friend lowered his '64 by using an old Chrysler New Yorker frame with the big block, torsion bars and 8 3/4. It was a beautiful setup.

BTW, my restified '73 is for sale in the DFW area. If anyone wants to see it, I can e-mail a picture.
