I'm thinking of puting "racing stripes" on my 99 Solar Yellow sc/sb sport. I'm wondering what you guys think about black stripes on my "baby huey". I value your guys' opinion

I have seen a few Dakota R/T's in the solor yellow done with black racing stripes. It look pretty good though the risk you run is looking likea bumble bee.

BZZZZZZZ

I actually saw a Solar Yellow with BLUE STRIPES. Looked good though kinda of like a Tonka Truck. Do what you like though.
Who cares what anyone else likes.

HA HA. I just thought of another color scheme!

I remember the sales manager at a local dealership telling me that a big wig from John Deere had ordered a Solar Yellow dually. He said the guy had custom painted stripes put on it. Know what color?

Yup. Tractor green. So if you sell or haul tractors, here's another idea.

As for my .02 - I'd got for the BLACK dual wide stripes . . . but, to each his own.

I would like to see it when you get it done ! Whatever color you go with.

Thumbs up

I THINK IT WOULD LOOK GREAT. I ALWAYS LOVED
THAT COLOR. I HAD A 911 TURBO IN SPEED YELLOW. THE BLACK STRIPES WOULD BE THE BEST COLOR AS FAR AS CONTRAST. THOUGH HERE IS ANOTHER IDEA, HOW ABOUT THE OLD STYLE R/T BUMBLE BEE STRIPE. YOU DON'T SEE MANY OF THESE. I ACTUALLY HAVE IT ON MY RAM. YOU CAN CHECK OUT WWW.HOLLEYMTS.COM TO SEE A SIMILAR TRUCK WITH THE TAIL STRIPE. I ACTUALLY PUT THE OLD STYLE BUMBLE BEE INSIDE THE STRIPE. DIFFERENT BUT COOL. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR CHOICE!!!

Wink

I can't find it now, but somewhere . . . I have a picture that a guy did right along the lines of the old Superbee grille emblem (come on guys - I'm not the only one that old enough to remember . . . ) You know - the yellow bee with his head down, the helmet on, the stinger pointing out and a chrome hood scoop on his back ??

Anyway, this guy took that same look exact look and made it in to a RAM . . .

like I've said before . . . make it your own !

Want the retro look ? How about this for another idea ?

Old Challengers had that big bold stripe down the side with a bold R/T right over the rear quarter panel . . . and the muscle car era 'Cuda's had those stripes down the side that started off long and bold and kinda got smaller and lighter, the farther back they went on the car.

Just wondering have any of you all thought about nitrous for your trucks. And whats some of your 4x4 times. I have a yellow dodge also and was wondering about the black stripes so if anyone has a pic of a yellow truck with black stripes I would like to see it. Also I was thinking about one stripe instead of 2 and put the super bee symbol on my hood in the middle of the stripe. Just a thought so don't laugh.

Do the dual black stripes....I did white on my Red truck, its one of a kind, everyone in town knows me (that's good and bad).

Still, its a great conversation piece!

Do it! BTW there is a guy close to me who does it, $395.00 for stripes from the bottom of the air dam to the bottom of the rear roll pan (even with a tonneau cover).
