Question

Anyone swapped out their rubber bushings with ones made from polyurethane ? They are supposed to tighten up your suspension and help with cornering etc. . . . just wondering how good a mod this is . . . .

Should reduce tire wear due to a more accurate geometry on front & rear end. Would firm up your suspension as well. From what I've seen there's a couple of choices for color as well. If you've lowered your truck with arms up front & shackels or de-arched leaf springs out back then you've already started.

they are a pretty good mod, especially on an aolder high miles vehicle. i put a set from hyperflex on my 1981 dodge that i had a couple years back. they definitely bring life back to a tired suspension and body mounts. like you said, they firm it up more than rubber so you get a little better handling. the only drawbacks are you get a little harsher ride and they like to squeak and creak sometimes, especially when the weather changes.

POLY IS DEFINATELY BETTER BUT YOU WILL RIDE A LITTLE HARDER THAN NORMAL. I THINK ITS WORTH IT THOUGH.

Cool

Energy Suspension claims to be "WORLD'S LARGEST MANUFACTURER OF PERFORMANCE POLYURETHANE AUTOMOTIVE SUSPENSION COMPONENTS"

I have contacted them for our applications (they list Dodge but nothing specific on this page).

As soon as I know - you will know !!!

Here is their webpage:

HERE YA GO RAM FANS:

Energy Suspension makes (what they call) a Hyper Flex System Master set for 94 - 99 RAMs. This set will replace the stock rubber with polyurethance stuff.

Set includes front control arms bushings, front sway bar bushings, end links, rear leaf spring bushings, body mounts, and bumpstops. Their phone number is: 949 361 3935 if you wanna call - but you can't place an order there.

They said to contact you local parts store and did not give prices . . . . .

There you have it . . .
