I am looking for a good ram air intake, something I can run to the front of my grill. I have heard of some intakes like this but have never seen any so if anyone has a website with some on it I would be thankful.

i'm in the process of making a custom intake for my 318. i'm using 3" ABS plumbing pipe with a universal K&N clamp style cone filter on the end. every other intake kit i've seen goes for 150 dollars or so. this is going to cost me about 50 dollars, 42 or so of that being the filter. if you'd like, i'll get you the instructions on how to make one once i get it all worked out on mine...

Jsitz69 - If your looking to get your air outside the engine compartment, here's the best setup I've seen, hope it works for you.

I like that ram air set up you had. Could you feel the differance after you added it? Do you think it works as good as the K&N gen. 2 because I heard the reason a k&n works so good is because the air goes through the filter first then has time to speed up and drop straight into the throttle body without ever slowing down, as compared to a filter right on top of the throttle body where the air slows down when it hits the filter and then goes into the throttle body. Does that make sense to any of you.

Thanks for all the info.
Justin
