When you do a electronic conversion do you need to replace your voltage regulator with an electronic voltage regulator.Would this cause a orange spark if you had the regular
voltage regulator instead of the electronic.

The voltage regulator is only for the charging system and doesn't effect cranking current. You could have less ignition power while its running if it doesn't work though.
