I've just come to fit MP's poly lower contol arm bushing to find that its different from the standard type. The poly one has a round mushroom type end and is longer than standard. Is this normal? Does the shaft have to be pressed so that its flange is inside the bushing to get the same overall length? Its to fit a 73 duster. Please help I'm lost on this one.

The new bushing is the same length that the stock bushing started out as it has a different looking end is all. Just install it like the stock and you will be fine. Just remember you are replacing 20+ yr old parts. Hope this helps!
