Is the orange box ever on stock cars, but maybe just a different color? Or is this only an aftermarket item. I am going to run stock electronic ignition and am trying to get good power through 6 grand with a new coil (Blaster 2) and the orange box (hopefully stock) without buying a new MP distributor for 150 bucks or so. Can I do this? Thanks. Joseph Tonna

Joe the box can be bought separately from Mopar Performance but it never came on any cars stock.

Never stock. I got lucky a couple months ago and did find one on a Volare' in a salvage yard (previous owner must have replaced it then junked the car shortly thereafter, because it appears new!).
Summit Racing & Jegs sell them for around $40.

Thumbs up

If your going through six grand I'd throw in another twenty bucks and get the chrome box instead. It was worth almost a tenth for me shifting at 5800.

Sorry about my misleading answer, I thought you were asking if you can replace a stocker with the orange box. I have used the orange and the chrome box, and I highly doubpt that you can get any difference in ET's caused by the box in rpms under 7000.
