Cool

Joe,

It's newer than a '79 model. I checked my TorqueFlite Field Service book for model years '69 thru '79. Your p/n doesn't show up. The last 8 numbers should be part of the vin for the vehicle the trans came out of.

There must be someone on this site who works at a dealer that can help you out.

8069 is the date code. That works out to be 1983 or 1984 if I did the math correctly. I don't know much about 727 tranny's after 1978 (last year of the big blocks) so I don't think I can help you much. I assume that is a small block unit and is probably a lockup convertor?

Question

Well the best I can tell is that it may have came out of a truck because it does have the longer tail section and it is the small block
bolt pattern for the casing if that would help on the ID'ing?

It doesn't have the lock up torque converter and their is like a rough number in the casting on the bell housing I can post that to if it means any thing?
