Question

I aM RUNNING A ROLLER cam in my bb and i am using a double roller timming chain.Who makes a cam button that will fit properly for a 3 bolt cam? whats the brand and part # a friend has a comp cams nylon pn 206 i think but he said it wouldnt work in his i havent tried it yet though what do u think??

You have several options, I think all cam buttons are for three bolt cams. I'm currently using a nylon button, previously I have used a Milodon aluminum cam button, and one that had a built in torrington bearing, don't know the manufacturer. They have all worked and in all cases trimming of the cam button or the timing chain cover was necessary.

My Pete Jackson gear drive came with the button that has a torrington bearing. I think you can buy that part from Pete Jackson.

We use a Cloyes Hex-Adjust. It uses socket head bolts, so there's no problem. This thing makes degreeing the cam simple. I use it along with the Powerhouse tool that goes in the lifter bore and it's done in 15 minutes. It took longer to set the camshaft end-play with the button.
