Well the power steering pump on my 70'Dart is pretty shot! There about 1" of play in the bearings up and down! Anyway does anyone have any good pump ideas! A good manufactor? A good pump? Also is there anyother pumps form anyother cars (MOPARS) that would work? If the price is right i might buy a box too?
Any and all ideas helpful!

A power steering pump from any 318/340/360 will work. 89 5th Aves and Diplomats had the same pump aswell, so don't let a parts store tell you they're worth a small fortune because of the age of the car. Unless you have to I wouldn't change the box.

If you have the saginaw pump and not the Chrysler pump then you are in good shape. The saginaw pump was used on all V-8 and V-6 rear wheel drive cars from mid 70's and up. Both were used from 68 to mid 70's.

If I am right
Correct me if i am wrong but i think this are the approximate dates.

If your pump is boxy and egg shaped then it is the saginaw part. If your pump looks like an aircleaner housing just smaller and sideways then it is the chrysler pump.(it is round with a approx 2" tube for filling)
