How do I tell the flywheel size without disassembly. Flywheel is on the car and with dust cover removed I can read a number on the flywheel looking from the front of the car: #2264598. It's bolted to a 1971 440 block with a 1964 4-speed attached.

The mopar chassis book says that 70-78 (all V-8) had a 10.5" flywheel with 130 teeth. 1969 11" (all except hemi) had 143 teeth, and 66-69 hemi had 172 teeth with a direct drive starter. I'll try and look up that number on your flywheel tonight.

Thanks for your help. The reason I'm checking is because when I went to order Schumacher tri-y headers for my Satellite Schumacher said to make sure I don't have an 11" bellhousing. I asked him how do I tell and he said to check the flywheel size. He said the 11" moves the starter out a 1/2" too much that interfers with the header collector.
