Hi; this isn't really a performance question, but more of a general question about the reliability of different Chrysler cars. The payments of my Mom's Taurus ends this summer and mostly she wants a new Taurus or a Sable. I, on the other hand, am trying to talk her into getting an Intrepid R/T or maybe a 300M. Does anyone have any complaints about either of those?
I'm not denying that the Taurus is a good car (My parents have had a '90 and a '96, and neither of them have had any problems not fixed by Ford), but I think she would like the extra room and power. I just don't want to convince her to get the Chrysler and have it be a bad choice. (It will be hard to convince her to get the Intrepid or 300M in the first place; she had an 85 Omni with a bad computer, it would accelerate uncontrolably, and since then my Mom hasn't trusted Mopars). Thanks for your help. |

I have both the Intrepid and the 300M in my rental fleet here in Florida.I've had ZERO problems with the 300M and the Intrepid.Any problems I have had are the ones caused by our renters that beat the cars badly.Personally,I like the 300M best if I had to pick between the two.
