The quote below influenced me to post my head cc results to share. Casting 452 from Aerohead Racing, big valves. One head averaged 85 cc, the other 82 cc. I decided to mill the 85 cc head 0.012 to get about 82 cc.
Anyone else with some data to share? 440 Jim Quote:

Ive measured about 3 sets of 452s and 1 set of 906s and come up with anywhere from 88 to 92cc.

Aerohead Racing told me to expect 86 cc on their heads after they reconditioned them using big valves (2.14/1.81). I was shocked at the 82 cc head. But now that I have assembled the motor, I now feel that head was milled more than I expected since the stock hyd. pushrods are too long. Since I milled the other head to match cc's, I am going to adjustable rockers to solve the lifter preload issue.
