In my humble opinion, THE ultimate modication to consider is a switch to gears in the range of 3.55s or 3.73s to still be streetable. Gears are the true torque multiplier.
Also in the Mopar performance catalogs, in the back of the book, it shows modification formulas for each engine by desired E/T for bracket racers. It might help you out. It recommends 3.90s w/ a Sure Grip for the 14-Sec. chassis package A1. It recommends 4.10s in the 14-Sec. chassis package A2. Mopar recommends 3.90s or 4.10s for the 13-Sec. chassis package B1 and 4.30s for package B2. Mopar also suggests in package B2, to have a maximum vehicle weight of 3,200 lbs and to improve weight distribution to 48.5% I think Mopar added this info to their on-line Mopar Performance catalog. I'll check it and if they do, I'll get back to you with the address. Okay, Kiwi? Performance tips are here >>>>>> http://www.performanceparts.mopar.co...log/index.html ------------------ '98 Ram 2500 4x4 SLT, reg cab, std box, Dana 60s f&r, 3.55/1, 360 V-8 auto, MP PCM, MP roller rockers, MP heavy duty cooling kit, MP valve covers, MP cap & rotor, MSD 6AL w/ blaster 3 coil & 8.5 mm wires, K&N Gen II, Gibson s/s dual cat-back and Amsoil sythetics all-the-way around. MP 4bbl TB and MP single plane intake are on the way. MP R/T cam, MP double roller timing set and Doug Thorly tri-Ys next month, with any luck.
