489 case no crush sleeve ,solid spacer how tight the pinion nut

I HAVE THE SAME SET UP IN MY DUSTER, I FOLLOWED THE PROCEEDURE FOR THE STEP PINION AND TORQUED THE NUT TO 240ft. lb. AFTER SETTING THE PRELOAD ON THE BEARING. GOOD LUCK.
