What size is the rear end, i'm currently seeking an 8 3/4 to fit a 70 Charger? How "rusty" are the bores on the 340? Are any of the 383 together of just the blocks? Thanks,
Arthur

I'm sure the rearend is 8 3/4, there is no gears (pumpkin)just the axles they are rusty also. The '72 340 block had been sat out side for awhile I got it this way. I supose it could be bored. The 383's are as follow: 1- '64 2bbl. complete, 1-'68 2bbl. mostly complete, 1- '69 4bbl. no carb. intake is just setting on there, also have a 4bbl. intake for BB, challenger drive shaft, challenger hood springs . I was told the rearend is for a B body.

I would be interested in comming to take a look at the '69 383 and possibly the 340 and one of the 727. I'm about 4 to 5 hours away, but am always looking for a good excuse to get out of here. Email me at artra@siu.edu and we could work out the details. Thanks again,

Arthur

What do you want just for the 340?? Is it a short block or just the block and the pistons as I am looking for at least the block, crank, and balancer. The rest can be swapped off a 318 and this would allow me to obtain the new magnum heads for more power over X heads.

If you still have the SB transmissions, what are they 904 or 727 and do you happen to know approximately what year?
Thanks,
