I have a mild 440 that is in a '73 dodge charger. I was thinking about changing my stock 4 bbl intake for a mopar dual plane. I also have a holly 750 that I slavaged from a '69 383 that is in real good shape. I have a couple of questions.
Is the mopar intake a good choice? will everyting bolt up to it including the kickdown lickage and ac? Also, is the holly okay or should I go with a edlebrock(sp) carb. The car is basically used as a daily driver and reliabilty is very important to me. Right now this car has plenty of low end grunt but at half throttle it is bog city. Not to mention it is a bear to start when it is cold. I've given up on trying to tune the thermaquad. Thanks for all of your advice. Brian |

The MP dualplane is pretty much the same manifold as stock, just in aluminum.I have one on my truck. It wont fit spread bore carbs so the Thermoquad would'nt be an option. The Edelbrock performer will mount either spread bore or square bore carbs.I have the Carter/Edelbrock AFB 750 with an electric choke on my MP dual plane.Starting and drivability is excellent. As long as the Holley is in good shape you might as well try it out.

Hey brian if that holley was an original for a 69 383 it's closer to 600cfm.
