I have a 68 727 in my car and the reverse is very soft almost like its slipping. is there a adjustment for this via the low range/reverse band adjustment.

There is a low reverse band adjustment, but you have to drop the pan to get to it. Might as well throw a filter and fluid change in at the same time.

I just put this tranny in do you think it would help the problem?? Right now there is very little there in reverse. But all other gears are just fine. I had a tranny shop check it out before I put it in they said all looks good.

Can yoou get in line with a pressure gauge off of the tranny?? if so, see if your pressure is the same when going from reverse to drive then the neutral position. if the pressure is not significant from neutral to reverse you may be able to adjust the bands for reverse. but you might want to put a shift improvement kit in from b&m, this will help replace all of the main fluid gates so any trash that might be in there could be taken out. Also find out if there is a fluid modulator valve on this tranny, your diaphram may be sticking?.
