Just got my Mopar back on the read after many moons of tinkering. I get a reverberation at about 2500 RPM and it seems to stay with me at that RPM. My engine is 340, balanced neutral throughout, and have a 13 lb Pro Line SFI damper installed, along with a 2800 stall convertor(neutral balanced). My exhaust is kinda short, Hooker supercomps, 2 1/4 pipes to 12" turbo muffs, and about 3 inches of pipe out the muffler, which is all just before the rear axle. Should I extend it to the rear bumper, or does that make a diffrence? What about longer mufflers, or longer collectors?

What about adding an H-pipe?
Or extending the current pipes all the way to the rear pumper? Try to insulate the rear luggage compartment. A friend had that noise echoing back there because of no mats etc. Just my 2 cents. [This message has been edited by BB 70 Challenger (edited May 16, 2000).] |
