Got my first mopar, 70 duster 340 4 speed, bone stock. Need suggestions where to start to dust them chevies n ferds.

You are already on your way.
A stock 340 4spd A-Body car is pretty quick. Just make sure it's properly tuned, and the shifter linkage is adjusted properly. Have fun, Jeff C. |

Just make sure you do a very detailed, precise tune up. Good headers and BIG aircleaner. Good 3.55 or better gears should get you around 14.0
Hot rod magazine did a test on a stock 68 340 barracuda and they changed the springs and dialed in the carb and got a 13.4 in the quarter....but the car was new at the time of the test...If ya want to go nuts Id say have the motor balanced and blueprinted and a cam brobably good for a 13.0 run |
