Cool

Does anyone know if the early Road Runners were offered without a sway bar? Mine does not have this option. I think sometime ago, one of the owners may have did some front end work and installed lower arms off a mopar that did not have this option.

part of the HD suspension was the front sway bar which was standard for all RR's,if you dont even have the mounting points on the lower control arms it may be either you dont have the original front end or it isnt a road runner,if it has the mounting tabs youre ok,someone just removed it,if it doesnt then measure the outside diameter of your torsion bars, they should measure .890 I believe,if its smaller than this it might indicater a 318 torsion bar, also do you have the inner sway bar mounts on the k frame?I think Id look into it extensively ,Id compare the v.i.n. on the rad support and the one under the trunk weatherstripping and see if i could determine whats going on....PRO....

Speaking of sway bars, one of my arms is missing the rolled insert or bushing in the control arm mounting hole. Without this bushing the hole is oversized. I guess it's there to save wear and tear on the rubbers.

Has anyone devised a clever way to replace or substitute these? I had thought of using some plastic grommet strip on a roll if I can find the right size. Don't know if the plastic will hold up though.

There seems to be no end to the things I find missingĀ
