I found a 273 intake, carb, kickdown. It is from a 66 barracuda S coupe. What i was wondering is if the kickdown would fit my 1970 318/904. Also, how much hp should I expect. Is this a good idea to replace a BBD?

GoldDuster,
This is, pretty much, the only game in town for a 4-bbl. on a 318. At least for one with 318-sized ports. It'll bolt on & should work fine. Be advised; this ain't the greatest manifold ever designed, but it will run better'n what you've got, & the little AFB should be just right for a stockish 318. Oughta be good for 20 or so HP. Hope you've got the air cleaner, 'cause the pre-67 small AFB size is gettin' tough to find. The kick-down linkage from the '66 should fit also. Be sure to adjust it to shop-manual spec, this is important. It's gotta be right. Say, you wouldn't happen to have those cheese-ball valve covers from the 273 layin' around, would you? My '67 Dart GT could sure use 'em. Enjoy, Scott |
