Dale Earnahrdt was the greatest nascar driver ever to live, and while he died today at the Daytona 500, he will never die in the hearts of his fans. Our prayers and thoughts should go out to the family and friends, and as for #3, i hope he is racing in a better place tonight. Dale, may you rest in peace.

I'll second that. While not always my favorite drive, it shouldn't happen to anyone. It will take the NASCAR community awhile to recover from this one. It's still hard to believe.

I don't know if you guys saw Dale Jr. being interviewed afterwards at the hospital. What class. Here's a guy that just lost his dad and he's thanking all of the fans for thinking about him and his family. Having been there, it will take a while for all of this to sink in, but I'll bet Dale Jr. will be out on the track at the earliest opportunity and it wouldn't surprise me to see him driving #3.

Very well said gentlemen......,
Dale Earnhardt will go down as one of the greatest drivers in the history of Nascar.Perhaps THEE Greatest ! Im sure the debates over who was the best will be endless.
Dale Earnhardt Inc. has been involved in more charitable organizations and events than most people know about.Even before DEI Dale was one of the leaders in the MS (I cant spell it)campaign that Nascar had developed.Childrens Hospitals,March of Dimes,The Wish Foundation.....,the list is endless. Yes , we will truly miss Dale Earnhardt !

Right on Mudder...he may not be everyones favorite but how can you deny his awesome, intense driving style? I loved having him in the race.
