For all you major enthusiasts, youll have to forgive my ignorance. I was wondering how can i tell which type of body style my car is? I have a 1963 Chrysler New Yorker, 4-door. My pride and joy!!!

Cool car! Even though Mopar didn't really designate their bigger body shells, "C" until 1965, the 55 to 64 Chrysler's as well as the big Dodges, DeSotos and Plymouths, are accepted by most hobby organizations as C bodies as well. I have a 63 Chrysler 300 4 door myself, mine is a hard top. They came in both sedan and hardtop 4 door versions, with the sedan being the one with a post between the doors going up to the roof. The really big Imperials are usually considered D body's due to their bigger structure.

My yorker is a hardtop as well. But how can you tell the differences between a C, B, and A body?

The A bodies were the small cars, Darts, Valiants, and all their cousins. starting in 1960 with the Valiant.
The B bodies are mid size cars, starting in 1962, with the downsized Mopar line, continuing until the mid 70's.
As previously mentioned, C bodies are the larger cars, New Yorkers, Newports, 300's, Furys after 64, Polaras and so on.
D bodies are the large Imperials for the same era.
Or basically, A =small, B=midsize, C=full size, D=Imperial and E=70-74 Cuda-Challenger..
This is very simplified, and doesn't really count cars previous to 1955, or after 74,which gets into a whole new different series of body shells for front wheel drive and others like the F body Aspen-Volare. And remember, Mopar didn't use the C body designation until 1965, so basically your 63 is just considered a full size Chrysler, even though if you called it a C body, most folks would know what you meant.
