I noticed on an old thread that you are running a Comp Cam 264/512. That is quite a bit bigger than an R/T cam isn't it? Quite a bit more lift?
Some of the posts here have said not to go too much bigger than the R/T cam because the computer does not like it. After installing that cam how did your truck respond? How long did it take your computer to learn that new cam. Thanks for your help. |

Ram-N-Time,
Sorry I've been out for a while. The computer at work that I use for Internet is down so I cann't get on as often as I'd like. Anyway. Yes I'm running the Comp cam,and no the computer doesn't like it but it does still run.It took at least 2 day's for the MP PCM to learn idle. The one thing I'd change if I could is the rough idle, but I've learned to live with it and love it. The power band is strong through all the RPM's but it's strongest above 3000Rpm.Running 4.56's like I am you can get to 3000rpm real quick anyway. |
