Wretched!!! There is nothing about that car that appeals to me. It looks like it was designed by Acme Brick. Nothing flows, nothing matches and nothing displays the "form follows function" concept. It's as aerodynamic as a Freightliner...no, it's worse! When the 12-year-old designer looked at old concepts, he must have found a Kelvinator sketch in a dusty AMC file. Like Bob Lutz said, it looks more like a toaster than a car. If they build that thing, I will not only refuse to buy it, I will dilligently save spit for every one I see.

There, now I feel better...my medication is taking effect.

I'd buy it in a second if they built it. Truly American looking... Excellent.

Nothing appealing to me, purely repulsive from every angle. Even the name evokes the worst of 1950's retro-think.

I will admit that car is not perfect But I would buy one even without what I think would be a few essential modifications.

Number One Things I love the windshield which is wraparound perfect retro look and

The more its not form to function the more I like it this car has a personalitly where as the newer cars don;t have it worth a shit. I hate the new neons cause they made them look more like other cars out there. The first neons had them cute headlights.

The front end I could live with but it reminds me of a truck. I bet that would be changed for production anyways though.

I like the PT's but hate the size it should have been made larger.

The car reminds me of something out of the 50's and 60's and those are cool.

This fits right in with the recent chrysler cars that are retro or hot rodded from the factory such as th PROWLER which is nothing like form versus function Period.

This is just a cool car that has a great engine.

I figure Daimler just wanted a car that everyone laughs at just like Pontiac has in the Aztec. Edsel for the new century?
It still looks like an electric shaver with a 58 Chevy roof to me, not exactly cutting edge styling there. If they build this monstrosity, and not the Charger or 300H, I'll never forgive them.

Biggrin Super 8 Hemi Pursuit

I may have posted this before but . . .

I think the Super 8 would make a cool patrol car. Especially if they stuff a 350 horse Hemi into it.

The Ford Interceptors are under-powered and the Crapolet Gimpalas are a joke. Mopar used to have a lock on the cop car market. Diplomats, Furies, Monacos meant rugged, reliable, and fast.

So I did a little 3D Studio and Photoshop to the press-release photo and...

I think the Super8 concept is both very cool and kinda horrible at the same time.

I would buy one.

Definately some mixed opinions on this one.

Myself, I definately wouldn't by this FUGLY car. This car wasn't hit with the ugly stick, it was hit with the whole darn tree.

I wouldn't compare the Super8 to the Asstek. The Asstek is a pretend sport-utility with a demented front end. The tiny wheels give it away -- the Asstek is built on a mini-van platform. The only ones I see on the road have dealer tags. I guess the salesman with the least sales that month "gets" to drive it, haw.

At least the Super8 is the real thing, a powerful full-size rear-wheel drive V8 car. Something Mopar needs to build. I think the truck front end is cool (though they need to do something about that gaping open grill). The C-pillar needs work too! Maybe they can start with this concept and iron out the scary parts.

I seriously doubt if this vehicle does make it into production, that it would have that big of a grille area.My main reason is frontal impact. It's not a bad car,but the grille area is too much, and it needs some chrome.Plus I also doubt the wrap around windshield would make it as if you look at this and where the front door glass meet, there is no real room for the front door glass to go down. The side trim needs to go away.
