Question

My dart does not want to start in park.

Usually I have to shift into neutral to get the engine to turn over. I have replaced the neutral safety switch, and that didn't solve the problem. Any ideas on what to try next?

Thanks,
Dave

IF IT STARTS IN NEUTRAL IT EITHER HAS TO BE NOT GOING ALL THE WAY INTO PARK,OR THE ARM IN THE TRANS IS NOT HITTING THE SWITCH.DISCONNECT THE SHIFT LINKAGE AND MOVE IT BY HAND TO MAKE SURE IT IS ALL THE WAY IN PARK.I AM ASSUMING THE NEUTRAL SWITCH IS ON THE TRANS?YOU DIDN'T CHANGE THE REVERSE LIGHT SWITCH BY MISTAKE?IF IT IS ON THE TRANS AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK MOVING IT BY HAND,DROP THE PAN AND YOU WILL SEE HOW IT WORKS.
