Has anyone ever hooked up a shifter designed for a cable setup to a linkage original transmission?? The Hurst Lightening Rods are only designed for the t350/400/Powerglide
and I want to put it to a 727. Any options?? |

The Lightning Rods were avalible for the 904/727 at one time many years ago.I would contact Hurst as I would think that brackets and such from a Auto Stick 2 or 3 would work just as well.

I asked Hurst and they said that they don't recomend this shifter swap. No explanation. Been looking for one in a junkyard so I can eyeball the setup, hopefully before somebody scarfs it up. B&M has a kit that the ad says will "hook any shifter to a particular tranny model". I want to make sure this is feasable before I buy the shifter as it lists for like $450.00 at Summit even if they are out of manufactur. Seems high but it's the look I'm after and I've never seen one in a Mopar before.
