I have a cam out of a 86 dodge truck 4 wheel drive #is 891435 . Possible that it is a cam that comes with a Edeldrock performer intake kit. Could anyone tell me for sure what cam i have. Also, there are more numbers on cam. 2177 and before the 2177 is the letters eoel but i am not definate about the letters because you can barely see them.

I am going to put a 4 barrel and alum. intake on a 318 and I want to know if the cam will be to big.??????
I will be using 318 heads, stock converter and i want the car to run about 9.50 on the 1/8 mile the car ran 10.52 with 273 gears. I will probaly change gears to a 355 and I will be using 600 holley.

What do you think? I want to use this cam shaft if possible trying to do it as cheap as I can.

It is an Edelbrock cam,.420/204*@ .050,its a match for the #7176 intake and uses #5777 valve springs, its meant for 72-86 318-360 w/egr and not for heavy vehicles. No its definately not too big as its actually rather small but will work well on a low compression engine. Its actually an rv/mild performance app.sounds like it will do what you want..........PRO.......

The 2177 cam is a single pattern 270 adv 204 @.050 .420 lift 110 lobe separation 106 intake C-line ground for pickups for low to midrange torque and is the smallest grind offered for a pickup according to my Eld book.
