What should my car run in a 1/4 mile? (when I get it out of the body shop) mechanically it'll still be totally stock with propbply flowmasters. Just curious.......

14.2 sounds right......maybe with a good 26 x 8 or 9 slick you might see 13.90's..
I went 13.96 @ 98 in a 3800 lb Aspen with 3.91 gears with a stock 440 out of a '78 New Yorker. You can do this with some tuning....easy... Jason |

Guess I should have said it's 727. I'm sure that makes a difference. 3:23 Sure-Grip

With the 3.23 you'll want the smallest diameter tire you can....something like a 255 60 15, or a 26 inch slick..
You'll barely get out of 2nd gear. I would shift at 5500 and if you are through the manifold the engine probably won't pull much past 5200-5500. You'll have to tell by practice and where it stops pullin'.. With the 3.23 gear I'm gonna say 14.55 on street tires and 14.2 with slicks. Jason |
