Unhappy

My friend is just about to install a FlowKooler water pump on my Charger w/383. It always ran a little hot, so I thought FlowKoolers ad sounded like a good starting point, after I tried to fix the problem other ways. I just read on a thread that some people have had some problems with their FlowKoolers? Is this a common thing? Has anybody been real pleased with theirs? Should I take it back, before he installs it? Thanks for the help.

Default My 2 cents for FlowKooler ...

I had one on the 440 in my 68 Charger, which also tends to run on the warm side. I was pretty happy with it, and felt it was a good addition (insurance) to my cooling system. I had to remove it when the bearings went bad (after about 7 yrs. of use). By the way, the new Edelbrock B/RB pump is expensive, but it's construction is even better (cast iron/CNC machined impeller) than the FlowKooler (stamped/welded impeller). Good luck.
