Im looking into changing my Carter 600 to an Edel 750, or Holley 3310. With 3.91 gears and 205/75 r14's,I dont spend alot of time in the low RPM's. I run a Erson HiFlow2 cam with a 2800 stall in a 2900 lb 340 car. Will this change affect the upper RPM breathing ability? I rap out to 6700 with an LD340 intake. It runs fine now, but would like the assurance im not limiting myself. All the crate motors seem to run 750's and Edelbrock recommends the 750 on their performer RPM package. Thanks again.

In going to a larger carb it frees up more top end but you bottom end suffers. Mainly idle. Larger carb=more air the smaller carb can get as much air fuel for upper RPMs as the larger carb. so the larger carb will allow the RPMs to go up. But the larger carb has a worse vacuum signal to the low RPM.
