Unhappy

Does anyone have a problem seeing your timing indicator due to the waterpump inlet shrouding it? Any solutions? I thought about getting set points in the timing and then scribing lines and numbers on the neck of my mallory unilite. The engine is a 69 440..

I have a driver-side outlet...Maybe you could rig up a pointer on the drivers side and scribe/paint a line on the damper at top-dead? If you use the existing indicator it should be dead on...Use a light with an advance knob so you only need the one line...Hope this helps...
