I put an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake on the 440 with a 650 Holley Spreadbore. I can get the linkage to adjust right for the transmission to shift. I am in third before I know whats happening. I have tried all positions on the slide to no avail. It apperars that the height difference in the manifold was enough to change the adjustment out of range.
Anybody seen this before and if so, whats the fix? |

Can you make a longer down rod? If the height is the problem, raise the pivot. Im thinking three rod setup here. cut the downrod in half and thread both ends with a die. Then get a rod coupler of the same size (3/8?) and screw the ends in. Now you have an adjustable down rod. Run without one and youll be in third before hitting the second crosswalk, plus youll be burning clutches real fast!

If what pishta say's wont work get the Lokar kickdown setup from Summit. It's a cable setup and goes for about $50.It's really good for if you want to swap manifods, add spacers etc.

Thanks pishta and T748. I'll get one of the cables and go from there. I see MRE has one as well.
