Does anyone know what the max static compression would be running 92 octane gas?

Default There's no set answer...

because it depends on cam timing, ignition timing, combustion chamber design, head material, etc. You can get detonation w/ 9:1 using a short duration cam and lots of ignition advance, yet not have problems w/ 11:1 if you use a long duration cam, aluminum heads, etc.

Street-N-Strip is right, there is no absoulte answer.
Tell us what your working with and your likely to get alot more opinions.
Need, Engine type, head type, piston type and compression, and cam or at least the rpm range you plan to run in. Also, the altitude you plan to drive the car if you live at higher altitude and don't drive to low altitudes often.

I run the Mopar Performance LA360 shortblock with the 9:1 pistons. Hughes 24/30@.050 cam and their Stage I heads with 65cc chambers. Cranking compression is 185PSI. Much higher than I anticipated, but with the timing at 11* initial, 35* total and vacuum canister tight and totaling 49*, I run 93octane pump premium without a problem. Power and torque are absolutely amazing and I think it's mostly because of the higher compression.
