I'm considering a Nak setup and would appreciate feedback on these two options.
MB-75: in-dash 6 cd changer. CD-45Z & MF-51: Single-CD head unit and remotely mountable 6-disc changer. This unit has a rotary volume button and no external/additional power amp unit like the MB-75 does. Thanks! |

I just bought a Nakamichi 45z and I like it. What do you mean when you say that the CD changer has an additional/external power amplifier? I don't think it does. I don't like the way the Nak automatically switches to radio mode when you eject a CD. Kind of irritating. I'd rather have the option to switch it to the radio myself instead of having the blare of the radio against my will.

I was referring to the external amplification sections that the MB-100, and I believe the MB-75, do have.

I still don't know what power amplifier you are talking about. A CD changer supplies a seperate audio amplifier with SIGNAL so that the amplifier can boost the power to the speakers. Are you talking about a voltage booster?

Nope, check the Nakamichi web site.
The MB units have an amplification section that's mountable elsewhere from the actual head/cd player units. It's most visible on the Nak site in the MB-100 description. |
